Trio
Shopping centre Trio in Lahti city center has been Citycon´s largest development project in Finland so far. Trio redevelopment project was started in 2006 and it was completed in phases. Fully renovated shopping centre was opened in November 2008.
Trio´s commercial concept was modernized and updated. The project included also comprehensive constructional structural construction work. Trio consisted originally of three separate buildings. In the renovation Trio´s interior premises were converted to open, spacious and passable shopping centre. The leasable area grew also by 3,000 square metres.
Trio redevelopment project was awarded with the Leed certificate in June 2009. It was the first Leed certificate in the Nordic countries.
Today, Trio has some 50,000 square metres of leasable area. Citycon invested in the project a total of EUR 58.3 million. The shopping centre’s redevelopment project still continues and the neighbouring Hansa building is currently being renovated.
