The new Lippulaiva will open in spring 2022 and address the daily needs and desires of the residents in Espoonlahti area. The shopping centre will focus on a strong grocery and daily service offering. Lippulaiva will have over 100 different shops, cafés, restaurants and services. The anchor tenants include the Espoonlahti regional library and Elixia as well as grocery stores such as K-Supermarket, Prisma, Lidl and Tokmanni.

The centre is located in the wealthy, rapidly growing Espoonlahti area – in fact the one with the fastest residential growth and densification in the Helsinki metropolitan area. A great number of people live within the catchment area: 58,800 inhabitants within 5 minutes and 91,800 within 15 minutes.

Lippulaiva will be nearly a zero-energy building and designed to LEED gold certification target. The integration with the metro line and the bus terminal, together with good bicycle connections and other environmentally friendly solutions, create lower environmental impacts.
The largest geothermal heating and cooling facility for a commercial building in Europe has being built to serve Lippulaiva It will generate carbon-free energy to meet almost the entire heating and cooling needs of the shopping centre and apartments.
Living in the best location
This mixed-use development will include eight residential blocks with approximately 550 new apartments. The apartments are estimated to be completed in 2022–2024.
