At Kista Galleria in Stockholm, Sweden a large part of our visitors have international roots. Hence the centre celebrates festivities from different cultures during the year. In 2019 we organised events during the festivities of Eid al-Fitr for the fourth time. Marking the end of the annual month- long fast, Ramadan, the days before EID are an important time to prepare for the festivities and spend time with the community. The purpose of the event was to create a festive, warm-up ambience a few days before EID. Some of the activities on site were henna painting, gift wrapping and photo workshop where visitors could tailor their own Eid greetings and a DJ creating a good ambiance. During the event, Muslim Aid also visited the centre to inform about their activities. This year, Kista Galleria's food court prolonged its opening hours for the first time during Ramadan. Four of our restaurants which serve halal food, stayed open until 10 and 11 PM on four days, to offer our visitors a place to eat and meet after the sunset.
