Sustainability

Responsible business in Citycon means financial efficiency and effectiveness, fair play and solutions which take account of the environment in all of the company's activities. Responsibility stems from openness and transparency. Accordingly, Citycon publishes combined Annual and Sustainability Report.

In its operations, Citycon adheres to the principles of sustainable development, which constitute an essential part of Citycon's strategy. Sustainable development can be defined as continuous and managed societal change, where the goal is to guarantee good living conditions today as well as for the generations to come. Sustainable development can be divided into three dimensions: economic, ecological and social.

Citycon Code of Conduct lays the foundation for business operations, environmental issues, human rights and relations with our employees and stakeholders.

Citycon published it's fourth combined Annual and Sustainability Report. Reporting covers all of Citycon's operations in all operating countries. In its sustainability reporting, Citycon applies for the first time the construction and real estate sector specific (CRESS) guidelines of the Global Reporting Initiative, as well as the guidelines published by EPRA in autumn 2011. Based on Citycon's self declaration report corresponds to GRI Application Level B.
