As part of a charity book campaign held ahead of International Children’s Day, visitors of Rocca al Mare Centre donated a total of 130 children’s books to the Estonian Union of Families with Many Children. Apollo additionally contributed 100 new children’s books to the donations.

The charitable initiative was organized in cooperation between the Estonian Union of Families with Many Children, Apollo bookstore and Rocca al Mare Centre. Books were collected until 31 May at the Apollo bookstore located in Rocca al Mare Centre.

“This campaign clearly showed that many homes have wonderful children’s books that deserve a new life and new young readers. People actively embraced the idea, and we are sincerely grateful to everyone who participated. Children’s Day is a good moment to reflect on how, together, we can ensure the wellbeing and a bright future for our children – every small act has a big impact,” said Helina Leif, Rocca al Mare Head of Asset Management.

Raili Maasing, President of the Estonian Union of Families with Many Children, thanked all donors and emphasized that children’s books always find active use in large families. “Initiatives like this are both heartfelt and practical at the same time – the children in our large families will certainly be very happy about these wonderful gifts,” said Maasing.

The collected books were officially handed over to the Estonian Union of Families with Many Children on 1 June at the Apollo bookstore in Rocca al Mare Centre.
