Shopping centre Koskikeskus is an important meeting place for young people in Tampere, and young people are important customers for Koskikeskus. As a result of the cooperation with the youth services of the City of Tampere, a pop-up space for young people was opened in Koskikeskus.

The Pop Up Nuokku offers a wide range of programs for teenagers – they can spend time with friends, play, chat and have fun. There are various workshops, funny quizzes and other nice programs for them as well. And in Pop Up Nuokku there are always youth counsellors Helli and Pyry with whom teenagers can talk and ask for help with things that concern their minds.

– The well-being of young people is one of the cornerstones of Citycon's sustainabilitystrategy and an integral part of shopping centre management. Our cooperation with the City of Tampere's youth services has been excellent, and we are very pleased to be able to continue the collaboration, says Reeta Thure, Centre Manager at Koskikeskus.

Citycon's long-term youth work was awarded in 2018, when the company received the SOSTE award from the Finnish umbrella organization for the social and health sectors for its efforts in promoting the well-being of young people.
